For our 4th Bowler Spotlight I decided to pick a Junior Bowler, Elijah Pipkin. So far we have not yet run an event that allowed Juniors to participate, but that may change in the future. I have known Elijah for over 2 years, but have gotten to know him and his family more over the past year. Besides Elijah being an exceptional bowler at his age, he is also a great person to be around. No matter where you go, he is always very polite, attentive and in high spirits. Every event I recall watching him participate in, he is always in contention (Youth or Open). Remember his name, you will see it on TV one day.

Elijah Pipkin: I have to list 3: My first 300 game, winning my first tournament (Jr. Gold stop in Bartlett), winning the USA Bowling regional and qualifying for Nationals with our team. EB: What is your most embarrassing/worst experience in bowling? Elijah Pipkin: Going to the top 5 tournament, missing cut by just a few pins, and getting heckled by another Jr. bowler in front of my friends EB: Who is your bowling idol? Elijah Pipkin: Anthony Simonson EB: What bowling plans do you have in the near future? Elijah Pipkin: Win HS State with my team and individual, win a Jr. Gold National, cash in a PBA regional EB: What bowling plans do you have long term? Elijah Pipkin: Bowl professionally on tour, and make YouTube/social media bowling informational videos, become a bowling coach EB: Favorite bowling ball of all time? Elijah Pipkin: I have to list 2 – GOAT ball is Phaze II; my personal favorite as of today is my Reality Check – it has carried me through many tournaments EB: What is something you enjoy doing that doesn’t involve bowling? Elijah Pipkin: I love to game, it’s my way to relax and have fun either alone or with my friends |
